Stand 2050.LAB presents, among other things, projects created in partnership with TMH, the largest manufacturer of rolling stock for railway and urban rail transport in Russia and the CIS. In particular, visitors will be able to watch a video about the AirSCP city train concept (winner of the Reddot Design Award-2021), see the design of the latest TEM23 shunting diesel locomotive, promising passenger car concepts in T-modular, capsule and herringbone dimensions, which are considered as an alternative to traditional wagons.
This year's assembly, initiated by the WDO and Foshan City Shunde People's Government Economic Development Bureau, will be held under the slogan “Design for the Unimaginable”. and will explore design possibilities to shape our increasingly uncertain future.
“With looming threats of climate change, economic instability and public health concerns, it's time for us to work together to rethink what lies ahead. We must take into account the lessons of the past and keep hope for a better future,” the organizers emphasize.
The program of the event includes a scientific and educational forum, a design conference, panel discussions, presentations from design leaders from around the world.
The National Center for Industrial Design and Innovation 2050.LAB implements projects designed to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of domestic products production on the Russian and international markets, as well as development work for enterprises of the transport and machine-building complex of the Russian Federation. The company is a member of the World Design Organization (WDO).
