In the Chinese village of Zhenjiang in Jiangsu province, an unusual house has appeared – a 50-meter mahogany building designed by LIN Architects. For the architects, this project was an important experiment: they were asked to build a building that would become the new center of the village and stimulate its development. Therefore, they paid a lot of attention to its appearance and thought of a variety of ways to use it.A bright red house appeared in a Chinese villageA bright red house has appeared in a Chinese village

Wooden Pavilion No. 2 has a triangular roof, referring to the traditional architecture of this region. There are no windows in the usual sense. Instead, the architects provided for small openings that are closed with sashes: they are randomly scattered across the facades of the building, and some openings are even on the ceiling.

Inside the pavilion there are several half-open zones of indeterminate typology. According to the architects, they can be used in different ways, depending on the needs of local residents. So, a house can be residential, or it can be a cultural and public space or even a church. For now, he just pleases everyone with his unusual appearance. 03/b1e4a3dd4db91694775fb383a195df44.jpg” width=”728″ height=”486″ class=”lazy-image__image _align-center” data-v-371a4ab7=”1″ alt=”A bright red house has appeared in a Chinese village” />A bright red house appeared in a Chinese village
