A designer from Izhevsk, Valery Nelyubin, presented 10 new variants of the city's coat of arms on his page on the social network. He published stylized concepts in honor of the upcoming 261th anniversary of the capital of Udmurtia, and shared the news with Design News Center for territorial development of the Udmurt Republic.
As he himself says, urban symbolism has interested him for a long time, and now he decided to “ pack '' your ideas into a specific project. The designer plans to continue experimenting with the coat of arms and post the work on a specially created account on Instagram @izh_gerb
“ Coat of arms of Izhevsk & ndash; stunning in its potential, it is very simple, graphic and meaningful. Gradually, I began to experiment with the symbols of the coat of arms, including the results of my searches in projects, and sometimes continuing my searches in my free time, '' Valery Nelubin, senior designer of the Center for Territorial Development of Udmurtia.
The current coat of arms of Izhevsk with the image of ticks, arrows and two rowan branches on a silver-blue shield was adopted in May 1997.
How do you like this rethinking of the traditional coat of arms of the city? We know how sensitive they are to such “ liberties '' experts in the field of heraldry, and we dare to assume that they will not approve of these concepts.
