An unusual pedestrian bridge, which Muscovites have already dubbed the “Christmas tree garland”, will appear in Moscow City and connect the IQ-quarter tower with the station “Business Center”

The Moscow Architecture Committee announced plans to build a new pedestrian bridge across Testovskaya Street in Moscow City. It will be a chain of amaranth-purple mirror spheres and will connect the IQ-quarter tower with the public area of the Delovoy Tsentr transport interchange hub. The length of the bridge will be 95 meters, the diameter of the balls will be different, ranging from 13 to 16 meters. The project is planned to be completed by 2024.
According to the chief architect of Moscow, Sergei Kuznetsov, who is working on the project together with architect Dmitry Sukhov, they did not want to add boredom to the motley appearance of Moscow City and make another classic overpass. Therefore, they decided to decorate the business center with such an unusual art project, which witty Muscovites have already dubbed the “Christmas tree garland”.
A round porthole window has been designed in each segment, visually connecting the pedestrian with the surrounding space. The end point of the new bridge will be the MCC and MCD-4 stations, the connection will be through a public area – a two-story volume with glass facades and an atrium, on the first floor of which there will be cafes, and on the second – shops. The project is planned to be implemented in 2024.
