1920s California mansion for sale for $ 4.25 million
Another house by Frank Lloyd Wright & nbsp; (Frank Lloyd Wright), one of the main American architects of the first half of XX century, for sale in California. The 1923-1925s building is estimated at $ 4.25 million. The house was originally owned by Samuel and Harriet Freeman. It was designed as a two-bedroom private residence of 286 square meters. Terraces and open roofs are an important detail of the house – there are a lot of them here. A similar approach was typical of Frank Lloyd Wright, who in his projects liked to emphasize the interconnection between the interior and exterior, interior and exterior.
In addition to the famous American architect, several other craftsmen have had a hand in the house. All the furniture in the house was designed by Rudolph Schindler, a Viennese-trained student of the Vienna Secession who has worked with Frank Lloyd Wright in the United States since the 1920s. Later, small additions were made by architects Gregory Ein, Robert Clark and John Lautner.
Over more than a century of history, the house has fallen into disrepair. And although it was recently restored, there is still much to be renovated here. Future owner & nbsp; construction will have to invest significantly in the project.
