Royal Mail Releases Stamps Featuring UK Architectural Revival Buildings

The Royal Mail has released a collection of stamps depicting the most significant architectural structures of modern Britain. For the series, 10 of the most striking and resonant projects erected in the country over the past 20 years were selected.Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow, 2000
The published public buildings were created by star architects and leading architecture firms. Among the objects: the Olympic Aquatics Center designed by Zaha Hadid, the Eden Botanical Garden created by architect Nicholas Grimshaw, the new building of the Tate Modern gallery by Herzog & de Meuron and others.

Stamps with masterpieces of modern architecture are one of the many projects of the Royal Mail of Britain, connected with the world of design, contemporary art and culture. Among the art collections of recent years are postage stamps dedicated to David Bowie and a series depicting the iconic creations of British fashion stars. The collection featured works by Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith and others. The Royal Mail souvenir series of 10 buildings symbolizing the “renaissance of modern architecture in the UK in recent years” can be purchased on the company's website. There are three editions to choose from: a collector's sheet with 10 stamps (7 pounds), a set of postcards (4.5 pounds) and a framed poster with stamps (29.99 pounds).
