New York-based firm Workstead presents its first major architectural project, One Prospect Park West in Brooklyn. This is a massive renovation of a 1925 neoclassical building located in a prestigious area between Grand Army Plaza and Prospect Park. Initially, it was a luxury hotel, then for some time an elite bowling alley and a ballroom. The architects undertook to breathe new life into it and turn it into luxury housing with developed infrastructure.

The studio was engaged in the design of all public areas of the skyscraper. Particular attention was paid to the entrance area and lobby. Working on the interiors, the designers drew inspiration from the neoclassical architecture of the building itself and chose the Art Deco style. Intense ocher hues, polished wood, marble and luxurious textiles evoke the splendor of pre-war American interiors. Against this background, vintage-style furniture and decor items from Maison Gerard and Zak and Fox look especially impressive. Expressive arched openings, pendant lamps and sconces in a retro-futuristic style add integrity to the space. -content/uploads/2022/03/5fefb296f39a569baf80635472c4435f.jpg” width=”727″ height=”526″ class=”lazy-image__image _align-center” data-v-371a4ab7=”1″ alt=”Residential skyscraper in Brooklyn with art deco lobby” />Residential skyscraper in Brooklyn with Art Deco lobby
