Zaha Hadid Architects unveil new version of Melbourne tower

First unveiled by London's ZHA back in In 2015, the tower will be located on Collins Street, in the heart of the city's business district. Four blocks with white facades, which the architects call “vase-shaped”, will form a tower 185 meters high – it will open the doors of the Mandarin Oriental hotel with 196 rooms, a conference room, a spa and an indoor pool, in addition, it is planned to open 148 private apartments on upper floors.
“Mandarin Oriental, Melbourne, will set a new standard for hospitality in the city,” promised Kevin Lee, Managing Director of Landream, the company that has overseen the project since the departure of Zaha Hadid Architects founder Zaha Hadid.
