Cultural center in Tbilisi, built by the architect Massimiliano Fuksas , Studio Fuksas, put up for auction for 95 million lari (32.8 million dollars) .
The complex consists of two volumes in the form of intersecting periscopes made of glass and steel. One has an exhibition hall, the other has a 566-seat concert hall. The building is open to city streams both from the coastal park Rike and from the historical center of old Tbilisi.
The cultural center was built on the initiative of the former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili … The project did not find support from the new government and its funding stopped. Construction was completed in 2012, but the complex is still not operational.
