The project of a children's area on the territory of the elite complex MANTERA Seaview residence, which is being built by the first resort real estate developer FIVE, is fully adapted to the conditions of the subtropical climate of Sochi. It provides special solutions that protect children from gusty winds from the sea, heat and direct sunlight, which are being developed on the territory of the elite complex by the Megabudka bureau in partnership with AA Partners.
“Basically, playgrounds in Russia are designed for a temperate climate, while subtropical zones have their own characteristics: a hot climate, active sun combined with gusty winds from the sea and a quick change in the time of day. All these factors have influenced the landscape of the new children's space, in which we use functional hills, wind-resistant subtropical plants, sheds, awnings and fountains, a large number of interesting lighting solutions,” comments Ekaterina Maksimova, lead architect of the Megabudka landscaping project.< /p>
From gusty winds, the territory is protected by a system of hills three meters high, which will be used as children's slides with climbing elements. On top of the hills there is a view walking area with transparent glazing. Eco-friendly surfaces adapted to high temperatures are also provided here, and the use of bridges that are thrown between the hills and lost in dense greenery forms alternative routes, on which there are secluded locations, both for playing with children and for working with a laptop.< /p>
At the base of the hills there is a children's play area with a total area of 2,000 square meters. m, divided by age – these are spaces with a large sandbox and trampolines for kids, play areas for older children and teenagers. There is also a pavilion for gaming activities and master classes, with an area of 70 sq. m, which will operate all year round. 34ea81a7c009b4de33b1d89c3a2ad363.jpg” width=”728″ height=”403″ class=”lazy-image__image _align-center” data-v-64ca9b5a=”1″ alt=”The first subtropical playground will appear in Russia” />
Next to the children's spaces, it is planned to plant flower beds and shrubs, wind-resistant subtropical plants – palm plantings, a bamboo forest, an orange garden and an olive grove, the creation of an urban garden where children can grow vegetables and watch the growth of herbs.
The hot climate and direct sunlight are compensated by the presence of awnings, bridges, the natural shade of subtropical plants and the presence of pools and fountains. A total of 11 pools are planned in the project, including 2 for children with sea water and 1 large pool with an island in the middle, with slides and fountains, artificial currents and waterfalls, and each large pool has areas for kids. The water theme is continued by tricky fountains that create coolness in the hot time of the day. The total area of the mirror of all children's pools will be more than 400 square meters. m.
“On the territory of our project there are residences, penthouses, urban villas, a 5-star hotel, and we understand that our guests will live and relax with their children. When we began to study the issue of children's resort infrastructure, we were faced with the fact that there are no ready-made solutions for today. Therefore, together with the Megabudka bureau, we developed our own children's infrastructure that meets all climatic conditions. Investments in children's spaces amounted to 1.3 billion rubles,” says Elena Kabesheva, commercial director of the developer FIVE.
The project area also provides for a children's club, consisting of playrooms and sports spaces, implemented in the concept of “development and security”. www.mantera-residence.ru
