The Zaha Hadid Architects project for Sberbank, which recently received a building permit, should be completed by 2020
June 23, 2018
The famous London architectural studio won an open competition initiated by the bank in 2016. Along with the Zaha Hadid bureau, such celebrities as Norman Foster, Massimiliano Fuksas, Eric Owen Moss Architects and the SPEECH bureau of Sergey Tchoban and Sergey Kuznetsov took part in the competition.
The winner was chosen by the entire staff of the bank: the structure held a vote among its employees who will work in Technopark, proposing to decide on the project of the future office. In total, more than 10,000 people took part in the voting. The company's management leaned towards the proposal of Norman Foster, with whom the bank had already worked as part of the construction of a luxury hotel in Yalta. But the employees voted for Hadid.
The Technopark building with an area of 132,000 sq. m. will be located on an area of 8 hectares in the Russian Silicon Valley, as Skolkovo is often called. The building is remembered for the curved line of the facade – fluid forms are generally characteristic of Hadid's work. Large-scale glazing gives the building a feeling of lightness despite the monumentality of the structure. From the side, it resembles a billowing wave or a mountain peak. The complex consists of several blocks connected by transitions in the form of glass pipes. And you can get inside through a streamlined entrance – as if, in front of the visitor is not a static structure, but a melting, fluid mass that has set in motion.
The interior of the “Technopark” is also built on smooth, flowing lines. The central element of the decor will be biomorphic structures, similar to trees from a futuristic fairy tale. They pierce through the building and serve as supports for a powerful vault that fills the space with natural light. Along with stationary workplaces, the interior also includes coworking, meeting rooms, multifunctional and easily transformable spaces, plus lounges and recreation areas. The landscape design of the complex, transport interchanges, and also a block of housing for the employees of the organization are thought out. -content/uploads/2022/04/dacf0b92a1e49b9bcf41455917a38756.jpg” width=”728″ height=”410″ class=”lazy-image__image _align-center” data-v-64ca9b5a=”1″ alt=”Zaha Hadid (Photo 3 )” />
